These terms cover the Bedder iPhone app, the Bedder web panel, and the optional Gmail connection. By using Bedder you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What Bedder is
Bedder is a coordination tool for hotel housekeeping teams. It turns the messages a team already exchanges into the state of the rooms, and lets staff record the work they do. It is a tool for organising work. It is not a system of record for payroll, employment, or legal purposes.
Who can use it
- Bedder is used by hotels and by the staff those hotels invite.
- Your account is created when your hotel invites you. You cannot sign up on your own.
- You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself. Tell your hotel right away if you think someone else has it.
- You must be old enough to work in your jurisdiction.
Your hotel controls your account
The hotel that invited you administers Bedder for its team. It can create accounts, disable them, see the work recorded in the system, and decide who is assigned to what. If you have a question about your own account or your own records, ask your hotel first.
Using it properly
- Record work honestly. Marking a room done that is not done is the one thing this tool cannot detect for you.
- Do not use Bedder to store anything unrelated to the work, and do not attach photos of guests or their belongings beyond what a lost-and-found report needs.
- Do not try to reach accounts, rooms, or hotels that are not yours.
- Do not attempt to disrupt or overload the service.
Connecting a Gmail account
The Gmail connection is optional and you turn it on yourself. When you do, Bedder reads the shift-schedule messages from the sender address you configure, and uses them to create your shifts. Access is read-only, and you can disconnect at any time from the app or from your Google Account.
What you keep, and what we may use
The work records, notes and photos you enter belong to your hotel. Bedder stores and displays them so the team can do its job. Bedder does not sell them, and does not use Google user data to train generalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
The service can change or stop
Bedder is under active development. Features may change, and the service may be unavailable at times, planned or not. We may change these terms; when we do, the date at the top changes, and continuing to use Bedder means you accept the new version.
No warranty, and limits on liability
Bedder is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. It is a coordination tool, and it can be wrong: a message can be misread, a notification can be late, a room can show the wrong state. Do not rely on it as the sole basis for a decision that has safety, legal, or financial consequences.
To the extent the law allows, Bedder and the people who make it are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue or data, arising from your use of the service.
Ending your use
Your hotel can disable your account at any time. You can ask for your account and its records to be deleted by writing to the address below. We can suspend access that breaks these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the laws of Canada that apply there.
